Terms of service
The short version
You pay a one‑time setup fee and a monthly fee. We build and run an AI receptionist for your business. No contract. Cancel with 30 days' notice. If it's not live and working within 14 days, you get the $500 setup fee back.
Who we are
Krelode is operated by David Watkins, based in Vancouver, Washington, serving businesses in Washington and Oregon. "We" and "us" means Krelode. "You" means the business signing up.
What you get
- An AI receptionist set up around your services, hours, service area, pricing and calendar.
- A live test call with you before it answers a real customer.
- 24/7 answering on the number you forward to it, appointment booking onto your calendar, and a lead record for every call.
- Ongoing tuning as your business changes. Tell us what's wrong and we fix it.
Pricing
- Setup fee: $500, one time, due before setup begins.
- Monthly fee: between $597 and $1,497, billed monthly in advance. Where you fall in that range depends on your call volume and what a job is worth to you; a two‑van plumbing shop doesn't pay what a 24/7 restoration company pays.
- Calls are unlimited. There is no per‑minute billing and no extra charge for a busy month.
- The founding rate is offered to a limited number of early clients. Your rate inside that range is agreed in writing before setup begins, and it doesn't go up while you remain a client.
- Prices are in US dollars and don't include any applicable taxes.
The 14‑day guarantee
If your receptionist is not live and working within 14 days of you paying the setup fee, we refund the $500 setup fee in full. One condition: we need your services, hours and calendar from you to build it. If we are waiting on you for those, that waiting time doesn't count toward the 14 days. After go‑live the service is month to month, and you can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice.
Cancelling
No contract. Email hello@krelode.com and give 30 days' notice. You'll be billed for that final 30 days and then nothing. Switch your call forwarding off whenever you like. On request we delete your data as described in the privacy policy.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your business. The receptionist can only be as right as what you tell us.
- Keep your calendar availability up to date. If it's wrong, bookings will be wrong.
- Use the service lawfully. Where call recording is enabled, we configure disclosure, but you're responsible for complying with call recording and consumer protection laws that apply to your business.
- Don't use the receptionist to make outbound sales calls, send spam, or collect information you're not allowed to collect.
What it is and isn't
The receptionist is an AI. It will identify itself as one if a caller asks. It's good, and we test it, but it can misunderstand a caller or make a mistake. It is not a substitute for emergency services, medical advice, legal advice, or a licensed professional. You remain responsible for the work you do for your customers and for any commitments made to them on your behalf. If it books something you can't honor, you handle it with the customer the same way you would if a person had taken the call, and you tell us so we can fix the cause.
Availability
We aim for the receptionist to answer every call, but we rely on third‑party telephony, speech and AI providers, and none of them are perfect. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service. If there's an outage on our side, we'll tell you and, for anything more than a few hours, credit you for the downtime.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We're not liable for lost profits, lost jobs, or indirect damages, including from a missed or mishandled call. This is a small service at a small price, and the price reflects that.
Ownership
You own your business information, your call data, and your leads. We own the setup, prompts and configuration we build to run your receptionist. You can take your data with you when you leave. You can't copy our setup to run elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't like the change, cancel before then and it never applies to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Clark County, Washington, unless we can sort it out over the phone first, which is what we'd both prefer.
